All dogs go to Heaven!

Most of our friends and family had the privilege of meeting our family dog. Vega has been with us since she was only a few weeks old…she just turned 10 in March. Unfortunately, Vega was diagnosed with cancer about six months ago. At that time we were told that there was nothing we could do for her, and to enjoy our remaining time together. Vega quickly started to deteriorate and her tumor grew rapidly. On Tuesday April 8, 2008 we were forced to relieve Vega from her pain & suffering. It has been a very emotional week. You can tell that there is definitely something missing…a member of our family is now gone. Someday, we will get the kids another dog…but for now we will grieve. Wow, our next dog sure has big "paws" to fill. We love and miss you Vega

First Communion

Caleb made his First Communion last Saturday. We are all so proud of him for working so hard this year at his PSR (Parish School Religion) Class. For an eight year old he is terribly busy. Since July he has had a sports practice on Monday, Tuesday & Thursday evenings, as well as PSR on Wednesday. I certainly don’t remember being that busy when I was his age. Another tidbit about Caleb…he absolutely loves to read. He has a reading program at his school, and I am proud to say that he has the most points in the 2nd grade. He is approximately 50 points short of 500 points --- which has been his goal since the beginning of the school year. He is currently reading Moby Dick. Are you kidding me…I don’t remember reading Moby Dick at age 8. He is accomplishing so much and we couldn’t be more proud of him.
